He knocked on the door of expatriation to reach success and searched for the best opportunity to achieve it, and when he reached that, he did not forget his motherland, but this homeland remained his first stop from which he sets out and returns to, and he presents many service and development projects. About the beginning, Dr. and businessman “Jack Al-Shami” said: “The pursuit of achieving a successful future requires perseverance to find opportunities and not despair if one of them faces failure. Therefore, I considered my profession as a dentist a study that led me to earn a living and secure basic needs and a temporary station through which I applied for work contracts in my field of specialization in more than one country of the expatriate countries. Through one of these contracts, I was able to travel and work initially as a dentist, then I headed to the world of business to move from direct practice of the profession to the medical institution and development of production to a group of diverse medical and professional projects, a large part of which were in my home country.”

For him, success stems from the person and harnessing what he possesses for that purpose, and this is what he did, as he added: “Knowing oneself and one’s personal capabilities, being honest with oneself and not imitating are the most important traits that one must search for within oneself and see them with all honesty as if one were standing in front of a mirror, to work on developing one’s positives and benefiting from one’s negatives by correcting them, otherwise one will remain in one place. Therefore, I found that the profession of dentistry, despite its importance and benefit to society, remains stagnant if I do not harness and develop it through the business world, and the most important thing in all of this is to look at difficulties and obstacles as necessities of life that must exist and one must learn from them.” After his expatriation to the Gulf countries and his work as a doctor, he invested the results of his work in building a group of medical complexes in Dubai, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Syria, which included a group of distinguished and famous doctors. Yazid adds: “The medical complexes project was the beginning of a group of works that included the medical, recreational, and social aspects, and the goal of all of them is developmental and service-oriented, and a large part of it is in my country and in my village “Al-Hawash”, which aims to increase the service of the region and open up areas for its people to work. The most important thing in all of this is focusing on the quality standard in choosing the project and choosing its cadres.”

The family plays a major role in the life of the businessman, as he says, it is the safety net that saves me in the event of a fall. He adds: “The large and small family has always played a fundamental role in my life, as they are the ones who provided me with great moral support in all stages of my life and are always ready to push me to more success. As for the small family, it is the engine of success that makes me strive to live up to their expectations, as they are my companions on the path, and to them I am a friend, father, and human being.”

It is worth noting that Jack Al-Shami was born in Damascus in 1968. He completed his secondary education in the village of Al-Hawash and his university studies at the Faculty of Dentistry in Hama. He was honored as the most technologically advanced person in the medical field in Dubai in 2000.
